We worked closely alongside the developer of this site. The existing building was grade II listed Georgian style house.
The stunning site is located on the bank of the River Lamborn. The proposed development has more than doubled the accommodation space, with modern Architectural approach.
The challenge was due to the close proximity of the site to the bank of the river foundation wise and the first floor vaulted roof. Our cost effective approach was using RC ground beams supported on piles and the superstructure was constructed using steel frame with various bracing and moment connections techniques to frame and stabilise the steel frame.
