Major renovation works to existing lower ground & ground floor. Whilst the upper floors were occupied by different Leasehold, our client proposed works was to increase the headroom at the lower ground floor, remove considerable amount of load bearing walls within the lower ground floor.

Our propose structural design and solution was to lower the floor using RC slab with RC ground beams parallel to Party Wall, without the need to underpin the Party Wall. The renovation works involved insertion of various steel beams and steel box frames in order to provide lateral stability to the building following the removal of load bearing walls.
